The preliminary test for UPSC 2021 has been completed, and candidates in the next batch have begun full-fledged preparation for UPSC 2022. The Union Public Service Commission holds the Civil Services Examination (CSE) to recruit applicants for positions in India’s civil services, such as IAS, IPS, IFS, and other associated services. The UPSC test will be held in three stages in 2022. UPSC Prelims, UPSC Mains, and the Personality Test are the three exams (also known as UPSC Interview).

The Preliminary Examination, often known as the screening test, is the first phase of the IAS Exam. As a result, it is qualifying in character. The final merit will not include the mark attained in the UPSC Prelims exam 2022. However, the GS Paper-I score is crucial in determining the UPSC Prelims Exam cutoff. In contrast to the UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam, the IAS Prelims Exam consists of two objective-type MCQ-based questions. The UPSC Mains Exam consists of nine papers and is a descriptive exam.

UPSC Prelims Exam Syllabus:

Paper I: General Studies:

The following topics are covered in the IAS Syllabus for UPSC Prelims Exam:

1.Events of National and International Importance are now taking place.

2.India’s history and the Indian National Movement

3.Geography of India and the World – Physical, Social, and Economic Geography of India and the World.

4.Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, and Other Aspects of Indian Politics and Governance.

5.Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, and Other Aspects of Economic and Social Development.

6.Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity, and Climate Change are examples of general issues that do not require academic expertise in General Science.

Paper-II in General Studies:

The UPSC Prelims GS-II is also known as the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). The IAS syllabus for this paper includes the following topics:

Paper-1 Essay:

Personality Test/Interview (275 Marks)

1.Candidates who pass the UPSC Mains Exam advance to the Personality Test/Interview, which is the last part of the IAS Exam. A professional and neutral board interviews the candidates here. The candidate’s DAF (Detail Application Form) will be on this board.

2.The purpose of the interview is to analyze the candidate’s social skills and interest in current events. The board’s goal is to assess the candidate’s personal suitability for a career in public service.

3.Candidates can conduct interviews in their favorite language because UPSC will provide interpreters.
