Eligibility Criteria:

For Primary Level Teachers (Class I to V):

  • Applicants should have completed a diploma/graduation in any stream from a recognized Board/University.
  • Candidates should have completed either B.Ed. or BTC with at least 45% marks
  • The applicants who are in the final year of B.Ed. or BTC can also apply for TNTET 2021.

 For Upper Primary Level Teachers (Class VI to VIII):

  • Contenders should have completed either a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree with 50% of marks.
  • The applicant should have completed either B.Ed./B.Ed. Special or BTC in Math’s, Chemistry, English, Physics, Botany, Geography, History
  • The applicants who are in the final year of B.Ed./B.Ed. Special or BTC can also apply for TNTET 2021.

Age Limit:

  • Upper age Limit: 38 years
  • Lower Age Limit: 18 years

How to apply for TNTET 2021?

Candidates must follow the following steps to apply to TNTET 2021:

  • First of all, candidates have to go to the official website @
  • Here you can find the TNTET 2021 Application Form
  • Fill the form with all required details
  • Upload a scanned photo and signature in appropriate sizes
  • Pay the application fee through net banking and debit/credit card.
  • The applicants have to pay the requisite application fee of 500/-. One can make payment through the Branch of the Indian Overseas Bank / Indian Bank/ Canara-Bank with the help of Challan. There will be relaxation in fee for reserved category candidates and they need to make payment of Rs.250/- only.
  • Finally Submit the application form

Selection Process of TNTET 2021:

Contenders who will appear in the exam must aware of the selection criteria of TNTET 2021. Here we have given a brief description of the TNTET 2021 selection process.

  • Participants must get a minimum of 60% marks to qualify for the exam.
  • For the reserved category, 55% marks are enough
  • Qualified candidates will get a TNTET Eligibility Certificate
  • Candidates can receive their TNTET Eligibility Certificate from the District Education Board by providing a copy of the TNTET 2021 Admit Card and Photo Identity Card.

TNTET 2021 Admit card:

Applicants will get admit card link to their registered email address or can download it from the official site. Candidates can download the admit cards and bring them to the exam. The admit card includes the details of the exam like exam name, exam date, and center of the exam.

TNTET 2021 Result:

The results will be announced by the conducting authority. Candidates can download their scorecard from the official site. A person who scores 60% or more in TNTET will be considered a TNTET pass. 5 % relaxation of marks is applicable to SC/ST, Central & State OBC candidates.

The scorecard or certificate of TNTET 2021 will be valid for 7 years.
