Eligibility Criteria:

For Primary Level Teachers (Class I to V):

  • Applicants should have completed diploma/graduation in any stream from a recognized Board/University.
  • Candidates should have completed either B.Ed. or BTC with at least 45% marks
  • The applicants who are in final year of B.Ed. or BTC can also apply for TNTET 2019.

 For Upper Primary Level Teachers (Class VI to VIII):

  • Contenders should have completed either Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree with 50% of marks.
  • The applicant should have completed either B.Ed./B.Ed. Special or BTC in Math’s, Chemistry, English, Physics, Botany, Geography, History
  • The applicants who are in final year of B.Ed./B.Ed. Special or BTC can also apply for TNTET 2019.

Age Limit:

  • Upper age Limit: 38 years
  • Lower Age Limit: 18 years

How to apply for TNTET 2019?

Candidates must follow the following steps for apply TNTET 2019:

  • First of all, candidates have to go for official website @
  • Here you can find the TNTET 2019 Application Form
  • Fill the form with all required details
  • Upload a scanned photo and signature in appropriate sizes
  • Pay the application fee through net banking and debit/credit card.
  • The applicants have to pay requisite application fee of 500/-. One can make payment through Branch of the Indian Overseas Bank / Indian Bank/ Canara-Bank with the help of Challan. There will be relaxation in fee for reserved category candidates and they need to make payment of Rs.250/- only.
  • Finally Submit the application form
  • Don’t forget to take a printout of the application form for future reference.

Selection Process of TNTET 2019:

  • Participants must get a minimum of 60% marks to qualify the exam.
  • For reserved category 55% marks are enough
  • Qualified candidates will get a TNTET Eligibility Certificate

TNTET 2019 Admit card:

Applicants will get admit card link to their registered email address or can download from official site. Candidates can download the admit cards and bring it to the exam. The admit card includes the details of exam like exam name, exam date and centre of the exam.

TNTET 2019 Result:

The results will be announced by the conducting authority. Candidates can download their score card from official site. A person who scores 60% or more in TNTET will be considered TNTET pass. 5 % relaxation of marks is applicable to SC/ST, Central & State OBC candidates.

The score card or certificate of TNTET 2019 will be valid for 7 years.
