About Teachers Recruitment Board, Tamil Nadu:

Teachers Recruitment Board has been designated as the Nodal Agency for conducting Teacher Eligibility Test as per G.O.Ms.No.181, School Education (C2) Department, dated: 15.11.2011

In accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 23 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE Act), the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has vide Notifications dated 23rd August 2010, 29th July 2011 and 28th June 2018 laid down the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in classes I to VIII. It had been inter alia provided that one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools referred to in clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act is that he / she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE.

The Tamil Nadu, Teachers Recruitment Board released the TNTET Exam Application Form 2022 on the official website mentioned above. Aspirants are able to download the application form, which is available on the official website. Students who have completed their educational qualification those students can apply for the TNTET Examinations. The TNTET Applications are opened. Applications are available on the website. After filling the application form take a copy of the TS TET Application form. It will be very useful for downloading the hall tickets. The TNTET Hall tickets are available from May/ June 2022

TNTET 2022 Selection Procedure:

The TNTET selection Procedure shall be made on the basis of the Online Test/Written Examination and interview. The TNTET Paper I & II Online Test/Written Examination will be conducted in English or Any Languages. All the eligible candidates who apply with the requisite amount of application fee and whose applications are received in time will be called for the Online test/ Written Examination, which will comprise the following.

Part (A): Child Development

Unit-I: The Children’s Profile at the Beginning of Primary Education—Physical and Cognitive.

Trends in physical growth—Hormonal influences on physical growth— Development of neurons Symbolic thinking and limits of logic—Sensory motor stage-Pre operational stage-Language Development—Influence of home environment, attitude of family members on cognitive development of the child-Identity status and psychological well being.

Unit-II: The Children’s Profile at the Beginning of Primary Education—Social and Emotional.

Self concept and Social Awareness—Sibling relationships—Peer relationship and play—Self awareness—Cultural influence on self-conceptcorresponding stages of Erickson’s Psycho-social development Emotional development in a Social context affection- sympathy-laughter-anger, sadness, fear-Parent-child relationship-Emotional well being emotion and health.

Unit-III: Physical & Intellectual Development during Primary School Years (6 to 10 Years)
