Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has released the 10th Class Syllabus. Government of Assam  is conducting 10th Class examinations every year in the month of March/ April 2023. SSC Plays a major role in selecting Higher Secondary Institutes. So candidates must prepare well to get a good score in the 10th Class Examination. Carefully read the exam pattern and syllabus described below and attend the Assam SSLC Board Examinations. In Assam State, Board of Secondary Education Assam will conducts Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations twice in a year (including supplementary Exams). Download Assam 10th Class Examination Pattern:

  • Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA Assam) has released the 10th Class Examination Pattern. Assam 10th Class Examination will be of 100 marks. Duration of the examination is about 3 hours for each and every subjects. A 15 minutes of extra duration will be given to the students for reading the question paper and verification of all the instructions.
  • Board of Secondary Education, Assam has announced the revised syllabus and paper pattern for Bihar Board exams for class 10th. This year, the board has decided to reduce the syllabus by 40% due to the suspension of classes in the wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
  • Students must appear for 6 main subjects which includes three language papers in the Assam HSLC Board Examination.
  • Duration of the examination is about 3 hours. 15 minutes will be Alloted to each student for reading the question paper and also to follow the instructions prescribed by the Examination Board.

About Assam Board of Secondary Education:

  • The Assam Secondary Education Act, 1961 (Assam Act, XXV of 1961) was passed to provide for the establishment of a Board of Secondary Education to regulate, supervise and develop Secondary Education in the State of Assam. The Act came into force with effect from 29th January, 1962 with the publication of Government of Assam, Education Department Notification no. 159/61/37 dated 29/1/1962.
  • Thus the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (popularly known as SEBA) came into existence on14 March, 1962. It started functioning with the conduct of 11 year H.S.S.L.C. Examination of 1962. Under the provisions of the Act the Govt. of Assam constituted the Board with Sri S.C. Rajkhowa, D.P.I., Assam as Chairman and Md. N. Islam, Inspector of Schools (Central Assam Circle) as Secretary.
  • The jurisdiction of SEBA was the territory of the erstwhile State of Assam comprising the entire North East region of the country. With the creation of the Provinces/States Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh out of Assam at different times and with the establishment of their separate/own Boards of School Education the jurisdiction of SEBA got reduced. Presently the territory of the State of Assam is the jurisdiction of the Board.
