NCERT NAS Model Papers 2023 The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is an autonomous organisation of the Government of India which was established in 1961 as a literary, scientific and charitable Society under the Societies’ Registration Act. Its headquarters are located at Sri Aurbindo Marg in New Delhi. Dr. Dinesh Prasad Saklani is Director of the council since 2023.

The NCERT was established with the agenda to design and support a common system of education which is national in character and also enables and encourages diverse culture across the country. Based on the recommendations of the Education Commission(1964-66), the first national policy statement on education was issued in 1968. The policy endorsed the adoption of a uniform pattern of school education across the country consisting of 10 years of general education program followed by 2 years of diversified schooling.

About NAS:

National Achievement Survey (NAS) is a nationally representative and it is survey for students who are learning under the curriculum of Ministry of Education, Government of India. NAS will give a system level reflection on effectiveness of the school system of education. It will provide a detailed report of educational survey there in by provides a systematic and directional improvements in educational learning.

National Achievement Survey 2021 was conducted on 12th of November 2021. The National Council of Educational Research & Training (NCERT) has developed a frame work in order to monitor the competencies acquired by the students through learning outcomes.

The National Achievement Survey will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) as Assessment Administrator for Grade 3, 5, 8 and 10 students of State Government. schools, Government Aided schools, Private Unaided recognized schools and Central Government Schools.

The Survey will be conducted under monitored environment in the sampled schools.
