GSECL Recruitment 2022:
Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVN), which came into existence in August 1993 after the unbundling of the GEB. It is a power generation company working in the territory of Gujarat, India. It delivers electricity through four distribution companies – DGVCL, MGVCL, PGVCL, and UGVCL.
Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited was incorporated in August 1993 with the objectives to mobilize resources from the market for adding to the generating capacity of Gujarat and improving the quality and cost of existing generation.
GSECL is involved in a wide spectrum of activities to improve the electricity infrastructure and generation of power in Gujarat and has the status of Independent Power Producer (IPP) with approval to undertake new power projects. The Company commenced its commercial operation in the year 1998. GSECL was notified as State Generating Power Plant by the Government of Gujarat on 29 May 2004 with the purpose of improving efficiency in the state’s electricity generation activities.

Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) recruits 800 Posts for Apprentices to fill the jobs for GSECL Recruitment 2022.
Apprentices- 800 posts
There is a total of 12 trades which are divided into 3 groups which are to keep separate examinations and allotment of different kinds of work.
- Group- 1 is Electrical Trade: Line man, Wireman, Instrument Mechanic, Electronic Mechanic, and Switchboard attendant.
- Group-2 is Mechanical Trade: Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Boiler attendant, and Steam Turbine rank Auxiliary Plant Attendant welder.
- Group- 3 is Other Trades: Plumber, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Mechanic (Diesel), Mechanic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant), and Maintenance mechanic Chemical Plant.
Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:
The candidate should be ITI from the recognized University/ Institute.
Selection Process:
- The selection process for GSECL Recruitment 2022 Apprentices will be:
- Written Examination.
- The examination will be taken online method in which there a total of 100 marks of alternative type
- Each question carries a 1 mark.
- The Course of the trade of NCVT will be considered for examination.
- Merit list will be prepared according to the different groups of Group-1 (Electrical), Group-2 (Mechanical) and individual Trades of Group-3 (Others).
- If two candidates have got the same marks in the examination of that group the tie will be removed as the Date of birth of the candidate will be taken into consideration i.e the candidates who is older will be placed at the top of the merit list.
- If the date of birth is also the same then the name of the candidate will be placed at the top of the merit list as per alphabetical order.
- Group-wise merit list will be made and published for one year from date of examination will be valid.
