Formative Assessment Tools

Formative Assessment is interpreted as assessment for learning. And Summative Assessment is interpreted as learning for assessment. There are four tools for Formative Assessment:

1. Read and Reflect: For language development reading is one of the major concept. To improve the reading skills text books are the major inputs.
2. Written Works: The written works include the courses written individually as a part of the classroom process. The answers to the analytical questions assigned to the learners as home task. The textual exercises such as vocabulary, grammar, and study skills. Teachers have to ensure that students are writing exam individually or copying from others.
3. Project Work: Every unit contains one project work and should be done by every student with the help of teachers. And each student must and should carry one project for a formative assessment. No need all projects in the given text book for Formative Assessment (FA1).
4. Slip Tests:  Slip tests is similar to formative assessment and summative assessment. There is no notice for this slip test. And it is conducted in a limited period of time. There is no question papers for this exam. The questions will be written on a Board or on charts by the teacher. There are only limited number of tasks. And it is conducted in limited class time.
