FA1 / CBA1 CBA Test Design Structure / Exam Pattern Change:

• The Exam items will be Based on Textbooks Approved By the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Educational Research and Training (AP SCERT).
• The Assessment instruments will be Tailored to Evaluate Grade-Appropriate Skills.
• The Evaluation instrument will include both multiple-choice and Free-Response Questions (MCQs and FRs).
• For Grades 3–8, each MCQ will have four possible answers, with only one valid answer. For Grades 1 and 2, MCQs will have three possibilities, and each question will have just one correct answer.
• The Number of MCQs for the Formative Assessment has been fixed at 10. This enables for the assessment of key topics while allowing students enough time to Respond.

a. MCQs (Multiple-Choice Questions):

A. question stem with two to four logically structured options will be included in an MCQ. The incorrect choices will aid in the discovery of pupils’ misconceptions. Students must select one option from the options provided as the right answer. MCQs have the following benefits:

i. They aid in the testing of a wide range of skills, from factual knowledge to application and inference.
ii. They aid in identifying common mistakes committed by students.

b. Free Response (FR) Questions

These are Unrestricted open-Ended Questions To which Students will Write their Own Responses. These inquiries May include

1. Fill in the blanks: Simple To Construct

2. Very short answers: Effectively tests kids’ writing skills
3. Short Answers: Used to assess students’ writing and sentence-creation abilities, as well as their comprehension or definition of a certain idea.
4. Long Answers: When Asked in Language, Allow Students to Display their  Critical Thinking, Creativity, and writing abilities.
