India-born Professor Gita Gopinath Named IMF Chief Economist 

  • Gita Gopinath has appointed the Chief Economist of International Monetary Fund by its managing director Lagarde. She was an India Born Harvard University Professor.
  • She succeeded in Obstfeld and she currently serves as John Zwaanstraa professor for the International Studies at Harvard University. She was 46 years old she also adviser to the CM of Kerala.
