Download Bihar 10th Class Examination Pattern:

Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) has released the 10th Class Examination Pattern. Bihar 10th Class Examination will be of 100 marks. Duration of the examination is about 2 hours and 30 minutes for each and every subjects. A 15 minutes of extra duration will be given to the students for reading the question paper and verification of all the instructions.

Bihar Board has announced the revised syllabus and paper pattern for Bihar Board exams for class 10th. This year, the board has decided to reduce the syllabus by 30% due to the suspension of classes in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. As per the revised scheme, the paper will consist of 50% objective type questions carrying 1 mark each. There will be 40 objective type questions in practical subjects while 50 objective type questions in non-practical subjects.

Bihar Board Marking Scheme:-

• 1st division is secured by the students who achieve 300 or more marks in total.
• 2nd division is acquired by the Students secured marks in between 225 and 300.
• 3rd division is awarded to the students who secure marks in between 150-225.
• Students achieving marks less than are declared as failed students.

The aggregate marks obtained by the candidates should be 30%. Given Above are the divisions secured by the students if they obtain the specified marks.

As per the latest update provided by the board the marking scheme for 2020-21 has been changed. Candidates who fail in any of the compulsory papers can use optional subjects to compensate for the result. Earlier students had to pass in all the compulsory papers but from this year optional papers can be considered in place of compulsory papers.

About Bihar School Education Board:-

• • • The Bihar School Examination Board (abbreviated BSEB) is a statutory body under section 3 of Bihar School Examination Act – 1952 which is functioning under Government of Bihar devised to conduct examinations at secondary and senior secondary standard in both government and private schools belonging to state of Bihar.
    • The exam is conducted on the basis of syllabus as prescribed by the Government of Bihar. It is headquartered at the capital of the state, Patna. Along with school examinations, it also conducts departmental examinations such as Diploma in Physical Education, Certificate in Physical Education and Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) for Bihar state, Simultala Residential Entrance Examinations, Examination for Diploma in Elementary Education etc.
    • The board conducts secondary and senior secondary school examinations twice a year. One is the annual board examinations in February–March and the other is a supplementary examination held in May-June of every year.
