Formative Assessment Tools
Formative Assessment is interpreted as an assessment for learning. And Summative Assessment is interpreted as learning for assessment. There are four tools for Formative Assessment:
- Read and Reflect: For language, development reading is one of the major concepts. To improve reading skills textbooks are the major input.
- Written Works: The written works include the courses written individually as a part of the classroom process. The answers to the analytical questions were assigned to the learners as a home task. The textual exercises such as vocabulary, grammar, and study skills. Teachers have to ensure that students are writing exams individually or copying from others.
- Project Work: Every unit contains one project work and should be done by every student with the help of teachers. And each student must and should carry one project for a formative assessment. No need all projects in the given textbook for Formative Assessment (FA1).
- Slip Tests: Slip tests is similar to formative assessment and summative assessment. There is no notice for this slip test. And it is conducted in a limited period of time. There is no question papers for this exam. The questions will be written on a Board or on charts by the teacher. There are only limited number of tasks. And it is conducted in limited class time.
